StinkySocks Hockey

This is a New England adult hockey league with Boston adult hockey tournaments. You can play this no-commitment competitive but not aggressive organized hockey on your own schedule as an individual or as part of a group that wants to play on the same team in “Open Leagues”.

Upcoming Fall and Fall/Winter seasons are now available for registration and payment online. Player spots are on a first paid basis. You can book as a skater or as a goalie with the flexibility of purchasing game by game when, where, and how frequently you want to play.

Games are for 50 or 60 minutes every night seven days a week. Games are limited to ten skaters and a goalie per team, plus a referee. There is a guarantee that there will be no more than 20 skaters per game. There is also a Wait List for sold out currently-listed games, and you are notified if a spot suddenly becomes available.

New England Senior Hockey League (NESHL)

The 2016-2017 season marks the beginning of their 35th year. Throughout the fall/winter season and into the Spring 2017 season of fabulous hockey, there will also be fun events, raffles, giveaways, rewards, clinics, and drafts/player evaluation sessions. .

The year-round hockey offers a fall/winter season that runs from September-April and a spring/summer season that runs from April-September.

Many levels of play are available for all adult players, both men and women, age 18 and up including age divisions such as Over 18 up to 60+. The levels are “A” for elite and ex-collegiate, “B” for upper intermediate and ex-high-schoolers, “C” for mid-intermediate, and “D” for lower level.

Plenty of teams are offered at each level, so you are placed on a team of appropriate ability and don’t end up always playing the same one or two teams. Game times start between 7:00 and 10:30 pm, and there is play on Sunday mornings, too.

They offer three different clinics with experienced instructors and jerseys for the participants. The Beginner clinic is for those who want to learn hockey or refresh their game, Advanced for experienced players who want to improve their game, and a Goalie clinic.
